Peru's Pacific coast lies along the nutrient-rich Humboldt Current, creating some of South America's most productive pelagic birding waters. Trips departing from Lima and Pucusana regularly encounter Markham's Storm-Petrel, Hornby's Storm-Petrel, and Chilean Skua. The cold upwelling supports enormous seabird concentrations, and year-round trips offer chances at Humboldt Penguin and Inca Tern alongside true pelagic species.
