About This Trip
The Hatteras Offshore Pelagic is one of the premier pelagic birding trips in North America, departing from the Outer Banks of North Carolina into the warm Gulf Stream waters. Run by veteran pelagic birder Brian Patteson, these trips regularly produce shearwaters, storm-petrels, phalaropes, jaegers, and rare vagrant seabirds. The Gulf Stream confluence creates exceptional seabird diversity from spring through autumn, making this a bucket-list destination for any serious birder.
