About This Trip

Albatross Birding Chile offers monthly shared-boat pelagics from Valparaíso's Pratt Port, sailing offshore into the cold Humboldt Current upwelling that supports some 60 seabird species. The trips are celebrated for encounters with Salvin's, Black-browed, Northern and Southern Royal Albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters in large numbers, Peruvian Diving-Petrel, and the charismatic Inca Tern. The Humboldt Current's extraordinary productivity — driven by deep nutrient-rich upwelling — makes these waters among the finest pelagic birding destinations in the Southern Hemisphere.
