About This Trip

Birding Ecotours runs a comprehensive 12-day birding cruise through the Galapagos aboard the spacious motor yacht Samba, combining eight days at sea with a night in the Santa Cruz highlands to hunt for rails and Darwin's finches. The itinerary covers the full sweep of the archipelago from Española in the south — home of the Waved Albatross — to Genovesa in the north, where Red-footed Boobies nest by the thousands alongside Nazca Boobies and Great Frigatebirds. Pelagic crossings regularly produce Galapagos Petrel, Galapagos Shearwater, and Elliot's Storm-Petrel over the cold, productive waters driven by the Humboldt Current.
